HPS CONNECT Expands Forwarding Business in Japan and Thailand

Hello, this is Iino from HPS CONNECT. Today, I’d like to talk about our company’s focus on the forwarding business. I’ll share the background of our operations in Japan and Thailand, the current status, and our future outlook.
CONTENTS
Shifting Focus to Forwarding
HPS CONNECT started in 2023 as a human resource development company. Initially, we focused on recruitment and training services. However, over the past year, we have shifted our focus to the forwarding business.
Starting from scratch was a challenge. In the Japanese market, we are still figuring out the best approach to promote our services effectively. But now that we have a clearer strategy, I’d like to share our journey and current progress.
Steady Growth in Thailand
Our forwarding operations in Thailand have reached their eighth fiscal year. Fortunately, we have managed to maintain consistent profitability since the first year.
We have focused on building a solid network with local forwarders. This approach has allowed us to secure new projects consistently. Establishing strong relationships with our partners has proven to be a key success factor.
Challenges in the Japanese Market
Meanwhile, the Japanese market presents different challenges. We launched our recruitment business in April 2021, but attracting job seekers has been more difficult than expected.
To stabilize cash flow, we decided to shift more focus to the forwarding business. While the Japanese forwarding market is still in the trial-and-error stage, we are gradually gaining momentum.
Future Plans and Goals
Our immediate focus is to strengthen our forwarding operations in Japan. We plan to apply the success strategies from Thailand to the Japanese market.
We also aim to connect the logistics networks between Japan and Thailand, positioning HPS CONNECT as a key player in the logistics industry across both regions.
Conclusion
It’s been a year since we entered the forwarding business. While we’ve seen steady growth in Thailand, there are still hurdles in the Japanese market. We will continue to take on new challenges to expand our presence as a logistics leader in both Japan and Thailand.
